Project Developer · Board of Directors and Founder
Develop real estate.
Take responsibility for the whole thing.
Jürgen Scheer was the initiator and responsible developer of his own real estate projects. His entrepreneurial responsibility ranged from property search and purchase to conception and development to the management of construction, implementation and sale. More than 1,000 single-family homes as well as office and residential complexes were built. His entrepreneurial experience includes joint project companies (SPV) with C&P AG, Sanlas Holding, Immovate, Irma and PORR.
His second specialisation is based on this operational experience: advising external companies and restructuring real estate projects on behalf of third parties. Today, he contributes his entrepreneurial experience as a board member of SIG CAPITAL and as a founder of the Owner Foundation. The focus is on clear decision-making foundations, economic viability and a buildable architectural strategy. This responsibility combines construction delivery, project organisation, financing and partner coordination throughout the full development cycle.
In 2010, Jürgen Scheer, together with Johannes Schweiger, Peter Lázár, Wolf-Christoph Gerlach and Rob Bekkers, belonged to the founding and management circle of vondevor AG. This created an interdisciplinary network that combined project development, construction, financing, strategy and international corporate management.
The subsequent careers of those involved – Schweiger at SOB Bauträger and Planquadrat, Lázár at Wiener Privatbank and ViennaEstate, Gerlach at UNIQA, and Bekkers at PAYER, TÜV AUSTRIA and pewag – illustrate the professional breadth of this network. Own projects in Austria, Germany, Croatia, South Africa and Switzerland, together with international project partnerships, broadened this experience. In South Africa, these include The View, Clifton Terraces and involvement in the comprehensive refurbishment of the Mount Nelson Hotel in Cape Town. For the Mount Nelson, the contribution to the revitalisation comprised the planning, supply and installation of European building components. The property ranks among the country’s most distinguished hotels. These projects and collaborations represent a professional network and international project experience built over many years.

The revitalisation of historic buildings is a particular focus of his work. The interaction of inventory development, structural implementation and economic planning can be understood using the example of Gut Kellerhof.
The interdisciplinary model brought together project development and implementation, construction and project evaluation, financing and capital, strategy and insurance, and international corporate management in a development process. This ability to bundle different professional competencies still shapes his way of working today.
As a member of the Board of Directors, he is involved in the strategic orientation of SIG CAPITAL. He combines his role as founder of the owners' foundation with a long-term, substance-oriented perspective.
Expertise
Own project development. Advice and restructuring on behalf of third parties.
His work combines structural engineering expertise with overall corporate responsibility. Conception, construction processes and financing are regarded as interrelated tasks.
The restructuring advice relates exclusively to real estate projects of external clients.
As initiator and responsible project developer, Jürgen Scheer supported his own projects throughout the entire course of the project – from property search and purchase to conception and development to the management of construction, implementation and sales.
His operational experience includes the management and implementation of construction projects. Technical requirements, construction processes and economic framework conditions form the basis of project decisions.
The revitalisation of historic buildings requires the coordination of existing building stock, future use and structural interventions. Gut Kellerhof documents this focus – from conception to masonry reinforcement to expansion and completion.
Gut Kellerhof – History and development
For external clients, he contributed his experience from construction and project development to the optimisation of processes. The focus was on the coordination of organisation, structural implementation and economic requirements.
Jürgen Scheer advised external companies on the restructuring of their real estate projects. These mandates concerned third-party projects and were an independent consulting service. The basis was his construction know-how as well as his experience with process optimisation, banks and financing.
Experience with banks, financing and tax optimisation complements his structural engineering perspective on real estate projects. In addition, he dealt with the tokenization of real estate and digital investment models at an early stage.
Project development in detail

The four project chronicles make Jürgen Scheer's way of working comprehensible. Real estate projects are not understood as an individual construction task, but as a coherent development process. Historical holdings, the combination of old and new buildings, the complete development of a private residential building in South Africa and a large-scale terrace ensemble in Cape Town show different starting points and scales. Each chronicle leads from potential analysis, conception and planning to structural implementation, completion and later further development. The focus is not only on the finished object, but on the responsible path to it.
